Patrick “Doc Belmont” Demo, Jr. CEO/Creative Director

Patrick has been an avid gamer ever since he picked up a Nintendo controller in 1985. However, his true gaming passion wasn’t until his uncle gave him a copy of the 1981 “Dungeons & Dragons Basic rules” in 3rd grade, and later Joe Dever’s Lone Wolf game books. Ever since, Patrick has been a lifelong devotee to the hobby of tabletop gaming. Over the years, Patrick’s gaming collection has become hundreds of RPG books, board games, card games, miniatures, and the like. Some of his favorite Role-Playing games include Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, Deadlands, and Ars Magica. The only thing he loves more than gaming is his beloved wife Joyce, who not only shares his love of gaming (and everything else), but also serves as both inspiration and encouragement in game design and life in general, and as taskmistress keeping his absent mind focused.

Patrick possesses a bachelors degree with a double major in English (with a Literature focus) and Theater. He also has a talent for drawing, and has done commissioned artwork for the Ars Magica magazine “Sub Rosa.” As a creative, it is not stretch that he has taken the mantle of creative director and lead game designer. However, Patrick doesn’t have much in the way of business sense (or much sense at all, really). Aaron Smalley saw merit in Patrick’s game ideas, and offered his services as CFO. Thus began Pointy Hat Games!

Patrick’s best wish is to spread the hobby of gaming, which gave him all of his greatest joys in life; a wonderful family of friends, some of which have been with him for 20 years. He hopes to make games that will bring people together in the same way that Gary Gygax’s game did for him.
